Obi-Wan winced. He normally enjoyed this type of cultural excursion, but this...this was painful. The only good thing about this was that he was in a private box, so other patrons couldn't notice his reactions. He glanced at Padme and felt a twinge of sympathy as she grimaced.
He leaned over discreetly and whispered, "You got these tickets from who, exactly?"
"The Senator from Bimmisaari. He and his wife couldn't make it to this evening's performance and they didn't want their tickets to go to waste."
"Right."
For a few minutes, only the strange music and singing of the Bimm's floated between them, both Jedi and Senator trying stoically to stick it out.
It was Padme who leaned over first, this time. "Definitely an acquired taste, isn't it?"
"Indeed. They have an...interesting...take on this particular opera."
More painful-music-filled silence.
Obi-Wan's attention began to wander and he started scanning the crowds. Leaning over once more, "Isn't that the Senator from Bestine with her aide?"
Padme frowned. "Where?"
"Down there."
"No, that can't be her. She has a private box, just like all Senators. She wouldn't sit with the general population."
"Even if she were trying to hide the fact that she's with her aide?"
Padme's frown deepened and she leaned forward to get a better look. "You know, I think you're right. And sitting about ten rows behind her is the Senator from Aquaris. And that is not his wife."
"Really? Where?"
"There. See? Almost five seat over and ten rows back."
"Wow." Obi-Wan leaned back. Pause. "You want to get out of here?"
"Oh yes, please..."

"Hey, isn't that Senator from Naboo? Why is she leaving with a Jedi? I thought Jedi weren't allowed to date?"
